Die Casting Automation: Ladling, Spraying and Conveying

YOMATO die casting automation supply covers auto ladling and spraying equipment, together with documented DM conveying options.

The auto-ladler offer includes a five-linkage, twin-gear-driven mechanism and PLC-controlled electrical components. Review the individual module functions below to define the equipment you need around the casting machine.

Die Casting Automation Modules

The equipment scope starts with the task. Ladling, spraying and conveying occupy different positions in a casting cell, so each belongs on its own line in the equipment package.

The tonnage wording is part of the listed product identity. Mechanical layout and machine interfaces still need to be matched to the actual application; the designation alone does not establish a fit with every machine of that tonnage.

Auto-Ladle Die Casting Equipment

YOMATO’s auto ladle for die casting separates ladle-arm forward and return movement from pouring and scooping. These movements are controlled separately by inverters, while the electrical components are controlled by PLC.

That gives the equipment discussion distinct tasks: positioning the arm, collecting metal and delivering it to the receiving point. Describe the required arm path separately from the pouring and scooping action. For a replacement project, keep the existing machine and furnace arrangement visible in that discussion, rather than treating the ladler as an isolated item.

Die Casting Ladle and Furnace Interfaces

A die casting ladle is the metal-transfer tool; the complete automatic ladling mechanism also provides its movement. In NADCA’s cold-chamber description, molten metal enters the sleeve through either hand ladling or automatic ladling before the plunger injects it.

For the automatic arrangement, the furnace collection point and the receiving point at the machine are different interfaces. Describe their positions, access and surrounding clearance together. The MT cold-chamber equipment page explains the shot-unit context, while our chamber-process comparison shows why external metal transfer differs from an immersed hot-chamber feed system.

Spraying Equipment and DM Conveying Options

The spraying offer includes the Servo Auto Sprayer for 2500Ton. Give the sprayer its own entry in the equipment scope, with the mold access and clearance described alongside it. Those installation questions differ from the furnace and receiving-point layout used for the ladler.

Within the DM offering, air ejection and spraying systems are optional, as is the conveying system. Keep that DM scope attached to the option when discussing equipment for an existing cell. The DM configuration page distinguishes these systems from the machine’s standard furnace.

Define the Equipment Handoff Once

Prepare one module brief with the machine identification, furnace and cell layout, required task, movement space and existing control documentation. Indicate which equipment will remain in place and where each new module must hand over to the next operation. This makes the scope clearer than a request for an unspecified automatic cell.

YOMATO can arrange installation and trial-running assistance when necessary, with training according to users’ needs. Send the brief to sales@hotchamberdiecasting.com to discuss the documented equipment and the project interfaces.

Questions and answers

Is an auto ladler a complete casting cell?

No. It is one module within the equipment arrangement. The casting machine, furnace, spraying and downstream handling have their own tasks and interfaces. Define the requested module package explicitly rather than assuming that one ladler includes the whole cell.

Are ladle-arm motion and pouring controlled together?

The documented YOMATO ladler controls arm forward/return and pouring/scooping separately by inverters.

Are conveying and spraying standard on every DM machine?

They are optional DM systems. Include the specific spraying, air-ejection and conveying requirements in the equipment scope when discussing the package.
